Singer founder Rob Dickinson's background is in music — specifically, in a world where every decision about a record is in service of the emotional response it produces. That same philosophy governs every decision at Singer. The car's tactile quality, the sound of the door closing, the weight of the steering — none of these are engineering afterthoughts. They are primary design objectives.
The Dynamic and Lightweighting Study, developed with Williams Engineering's F1 aero division, took that philosophy to its logical extreme: a turbo 964 that produces 500 hp, weighs under 2,100 lbs, and was engineered as a pure driving instrument. It is not a track car. It is not a road car. It is a demonstration of what is possible when the question asked is simply: what is the perfect 911?
