Rod Emory's grandfather built the first 'Outlaw' — a modified Porsche 356 that traded purity for performance — in 1950s California. Rod grew up in that tradition and has spent three decades refining it. An Emory Outlaw is not a preserved car and not a replica. It is the car that Porsche would have built if the engineers had been allowed to go racing with it.
The Emory Special represents the most complete expression of that philosophy — a hand-fabricated carbon-fibre body over a 356 chassis, with a 911 drivetrain, designed to look like a 1950s competition prototype and drive like a 2020s sports car. Everything is period-appropriate in proportion; nothing is period-appropriate in execution.
