Restomods are never wrong
Philosophy
Jim Ring moved back to Wisconsin in 1993 and bought a car dealership; the next year he partnered with his brother Mike to form the company that bears their name. Frustrated by the poor quality of stock parts for the classic cars they loved, the brothers began machining their own components from billet aluminum — and discovered they had a gift for turning muscle cars into rolling art. Spring Green, Wisconsin has two claims to fame: Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin, and Ringbrothers.
The shop produces only one or two ground-up builds a year, each consuming thousands of hours. A single Ringbrothers Chevelle or Mustang can take 5,000 hours and cost over $500,000 — and win Best in Show at SEMA. Jim does the wiring, brake lines, assembly, and mechanical fabrication; Mike handles the prep, fit, and finish. Their builds have appeared on Jay Leno's Garage and won SEMA's Battle of the Builders. The philosophy is pure: restomods are never wrong.
